Medical Roll-CIT

Induces the increased production of collogen by the skin, facilitating natural repair and growth

PCI* Micro-needling using the Medical Roll-CIT® represents a revolutionary approach by which normal collagen production is stimulated to smoothen the skin and treat fine wrinkles without causing permanent epidermal damage. The Environ® Medical Roll-CIT® is based on simillar principles to those which underlie the Environ® Surgical Roll-CIT®, on which its design is based. The difference is that, with the Environ® Medical Roll-CIT, the skin is only penetrated to a maximum depth of 1mm, causing virtually no bruising and significantly less swelling than its 3mm surgical equivalent.

Because of this, the Environ® Medical Roll-CIT® can be used by any medical doctor and requires only topical aneasthesia. One further advantage of PCI Microneedling is that it can be performed on lax skin and lax wrinkles on the face, upper lip lines, neck, décolleté, arms, abdomen, buttocks and legs. It is also useful for shallow acne scars and stretch marks.

Product Overview

  • PCI micro needling (Percutaneous Collagen Induction)
  • The treatment improves your skin by inducing the increased production of natural collagen.

Advantages

The achievement of Purcutaneous Collagen Induction through a course of six treatments using of the Environ® Medical Roll-CIT® can typically result in the following:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles are softened
  • Skin is thickened, tightened and elasticity restored
  • Acne scarring and minor scarring is reduced
  • Pigmentation marks are lightened
  • Stretch marks are improved
  • The disappearance of dilated blood vessels is encouraged
  • A natural response is induced
  • Healing period is minimal (redness for +/- half a day)
  • Procedure is cost-effective
  • Process is suited to all skin types (including laser-resurfaced skin)
  • No permanent damage is caused
  • Safely repeatable for maximum results
  • No sun-sensitivity is induced
  • All areas of the face, neck and body can be treated
  • The instrument may be stored on your behalf for re-use

Product Description

PCI Micro-needling using the Environ® Medical Roll-CIT® causes microscopic breaks in the blood vessels immediately below the surface layer of the skin (epidermis). This releases platelets that contribute to the forming of blood clots.

In turn, these platelets release a series of growth factors which promote the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This happens at a microscopic level and the related chain of events should be aided wherever possible to promote sufficient increases in elastin and collagen production in order to tighten and smoothen the skin as much as possible. The only proven way to further boost collagen production is to prepare the skin with vitamin A prior to the treatment and then maintain an enhanced state of collagen and elastin production by continuing the skin care regime thereafter.

The version of vitamin A that is used could be the medical form, Retinoic acid (Tretinoin) or the pre-cursors of retinoic acid, which are either retinol, retinyl palmitate/acetate or retinyl aldehyde. Vitamin A is also delivered in varying doses in all of Environ® products.

Directions

NOTE:

It is essential to prepare the skin thoroughly prior to PCI Micro-needling. On average, one skin cycle is sufficient to make the changes in the skin necessary to promote healing, improve the resistance of the skin and augment collagen production. The use of the Environ® Ionzyme C-Quence gel and cream is especially recommended for a minimum period of three weeks prior to the treatment. Longer preparation periods are associated with faster healing and better results.

The procedure:

1) Immediately before treatment, your patient must remove all make-up or cosmetic creams and wash skin thoroughly (a PH balanced soap is highly recommended for this purpose). Take photographs of the skin to be treated for comparison purposes.

2) Cover the skin with a topical anaesthetic cream.

3) Cover with cling film, leaving the nostrils exposed. Wait for the stipulated time period for the anesthesia to take effect and allow your patient to relax during this period, taking care not to disturb the area to be treated. If applied correctly, the procedure will be pain-free. If a patient has a particularly low pain threshold or exhibits a high degree of anxiety, however, an analgesic or tranquiliser may also be indicated for use in conjunction with the topical anaesthetic.

4) Once anaesthesia has developed, proceed with the needling. Some patients may be aware of a minute degree of sensation. Treat each segment of the face, neck or body sequentially. Sensation may return after five minutes after which time the next segment may be treated.

5) On completion of the PCI Micro-needling, wash the skin (Environ® Sebuwash is recommended) and apply the applicable Environ® product (or other medically approved skin-product with high vitamin A, C and anti-oxidant contents) to the treated area. A degree of redness (similar to the visible results of moderate sun exposure) can be expected immediately following treatment, this will typically subside within 24 hours, and the patient may return to work or social activities.

TREATMENT CYCLE

For best results, a series of six PCI Micro-needling sessions should be done at intervals ranging between one week and one month, depending on the degree of improvement that is required. The maintainance of a regular and medically approved skin care regime over time, and particularly prior to and during the PCI Micro-needling treatment cycle is essential.
